Organic farm Majoni

The history of the new farm

The realization began in the distant year 2007 and was completed in 2021, after three years of construction. However, the advantage of this unintentionally long time was that the matter could be well prepared, starting from the radiesthetic study of the land to build the yard on a "good" place.

The foundations of the residential house were designed as strip foundations rather than foundation slabs, so as to disturb the earth's natural magnetic field as little as possible. In this underground area, up to the top of the ground, synthetic insulation was used pragmatically, while the rest of the house, however, was built entirely in the excellent Thoma Holz100 quality.

This standard was optimized both by an additional external insulation of wood fiber boards and by applying, as far as possible for our latitudes, the "Vastu" thought in the construction. Vastu is the Indian equivalent of Feng Shui and also includes the building orientation and the arrangement of the interior areas. For example, the stairs are made in a straight line and consist of 17 steps, an optimal number.

All the works were planned and finished by local craftsmen. Only the Thoma company is based in Sankt Johann im Pongau (Austria). To all of them a big THANK YOU for the very good workmanship, but the same is especially true for the material and immaterial support of countless friends and acquaintances, without which it would never have been possible to create this wonderful building.

Agriculture

The farm includes about 3 ha. Fields and about 3 ha. productive forest and this agriculture works the owner Robert Schwärzer since the distant year 1982 in a biological way. This means, for example, that since then, as the first farmer in Dobbiaco, Robert relies for his fields only on the manure produced by his animals.

At present there are 7 female cattle, young and old, in the barn, which Robert takes care of 2 times a day. The animals can always move freely between the barn and the terrace run and perhaps they also enjoy the panorama.

If you wish, you can visit the barn with Robert every day at 8am and 6pm and join in the daily farm work, in complete safety of course! This includes the preparation of feed for the daily ration of the animals and cleaning the barn. Furthermore, depending on the season, you can accompany Robert in the various works in the fields and he will be happy to explain to you the use and purpose of the necessary tools and his methods, just as he was taught from an early age!
